2025 marks an important milestone in WeSendit's corporate development. With the CEO change from Jens Herbst to Reto Massalongo, the strategic direction was further sharpened and the next growth phase initiated.

The WSI Utility Token was introduced and has since formed a central part of the WeSendit ecosystem. The token laid the foundation for new functions, decentralized applications, and additional value for the community.

In 2022, File Management was introduced, technically expanding WeSendit beyond pure data transfer.

This created a scalable infrastructure for the structured management, secure storage, and long-term archiving of data. Since then, files can not only be sent but also organized, versioned, and centrally controlled.

With the slogan 'As secure as the Nation', WeSendit emerged from the master's thesis of Dimitri Tirez, which was brought to life together with Jens Herbst and Philipp Bracchini.

The vision was clear: to create the world's fastest open-source platform to send very large amounts of data securely and reliably. Which they succeeded in doing.

It was to be freely available to everyone and reflect the spirit of innovation, performance, and an open digital infrastructure.
